Federal Policy
The five-year Farm Bill is a key priority for SAFSF members, but we also follow other legislation and federal agencies that affect agriculture, climate change and rural communities. We help funders engage in federal policy through legislative advocacy as policies are being created by lawmakers and administrative advocacy as policies are being implemented by agencies.
SAFSF was recently one of more than 450 signatories to a letter calling on Congress to invest $200 billion on agriculture and climate in the American Jobs Plan Act.
